Open the week
The week board is the default Week view in the Skema hub. Pick a week in the navigator — absent teachers and free substitutes for that exact week show up in the side palette.

Drag and drop
Drag a substitute from the palette onto an empty slot, move a lesson to a different teacher or time. Conflicts (double-booking, long days, room clashes) highlight as you drag.

Publish the week
When the changes look right, publish the week. Trg_notify_parents_on_override fires a notification per changed lesson — parents and pupils see the update in their schedule immediately.

Single-week overrides — base schedule untouched
The board writes only to the week-override table via useUgeBoardMutations (move/cancel/assignSubstitute/removeOverride). The base schedule and every following week stay exactly as planned — so you can experiment without disturbing the whole school year.
